I needed a gift, so I sprung for chocolates
I wanted to give my new girlfriend a gift for Valentine’s Day, but I didn’t have much money to spend. I had just been laid off my job at a local factory, so money all around was pretty tight. I looked into some lower budget gifts, but everything I could find was either too tacky or didn’t quite say what I wanted to say to her.
Then, it hit me, chocolates. Chocolates were one of her favorite thing in the world. So all I would have to do was look into some chocolate gifts that I could possibly give her. To some, it might seem small, but there were some excellent ideas for chocolate gifts at a local chocolates store. I found some very delicious looking chocolate truffles. I bought a good deal of them and brought them to my new girlfriend’s house with the chocolate truffles in tow only to find out that she had bought herself some of the same truffles. I panicked at first, but when the time came for me to give them to her; I decided it was better than nothing.
As it turns out, she didn’t care that she already had some chocolate truffles. She loved them so much, she just wanted some more. Those chocolates were one of the best chocolate gifts that I could have gotten her. I know that to be a fact because that girlfriend ended up being my wife several years late. And it was all because of chocolate truffles.
